1. Who we are

SaloneCart (“we”, “us”) is Sierra Leone's multi-vendor marketplace, built and operated by Afronics Technologies. This policy explains what information we collect from customers and sellers who use salonecart.com, and how we use it.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information— name, email address, and phone number when you register, either directly or via “Sign in with Google”. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google — nothing else.
  • Order information — delivery address, phone number, and order history, needed to fulfil and deliver your orders.
  • Seller information — shop details, mobile money details for payouts, and product listings, for sellers who apply to sell on SaloneCart.
  • Usage information — pages visited and actions taken on the site, used only to keep the platform working and improve it.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to create and manage your account, process and deliver orders, connect you with sellers (and sellers with customers) through in-app messaging, send transactional emails (order confirmations, password resets), and keep the marketplace secure. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Sharing with sellers and delivery

When you place an order, the relevant seller receives what they need to fulfil it — your name, delivery address, and phone number for that order. Sellers do not receive your email address or any other order's details.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored with Supabase, our database provider, using row-level security so that customers, sellers, and admins can only access the data they're authorized to see. Passwords are never stored in plain text.

6. Your choices

You can update your account details at any time from your account settings, or request that we delete your account and associated personal data by contacting us below. If you signed in with Google, you can review or revoke SaloneCart's access at any time from your Google Account settings.
